The original Sylvia Syms website was designed by two students, Lee Harrison and Jason Brown that formed part of their web-design programme. Portland College is a national college for people with disabilities, based in Nottinghamshire in the UK.

Sylvia is a council member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

The Red Pear Theatre Company host regular, professional English language theatre on the Cote d'Azur in France. Sylvia has appeared there and directed such works as Mothers & Daughters.

SpeakerPower, founded by Barbara Kelly, is a company specialising in personal training for everyone wishing to speak in public. Sylvia is a tutor here and holds regular workshops.
